Topic: 2002 Alarm keeps going off

I have a 2002 AV and my alarm will go off for no reason in the middle of the day.  I thought that maybe a loud noise might have set it off, but it's done it on quite a few occasions.  I will be sitting in the living room and the damn thing start making a racket like someone hit my panic button.  I know it's not the fob.  It's a new one from the dealer and besides it goes off when I'm at work 15 miles away.  I am about to take a 2 week trip and this will drive my neighbors insane (if it doesn't kill my battery first).  Is there some kind of setting to set the sensitivity or even disable the alarm and keep my locks operational with a fob? Help me!

If this is the factory alarm there may be a light triggering it. maybe a courtesy or door or dome light. check those out and see if any are staying on.

I would take it back to the dealer so they readjust the sensor before you leave town.
