Volant CAI from TBYRNE Motorsports??
« on: March 08, 2008, 01:20:26 PM »
I read a topic that was posted, someone looking for a Volant CAI or something like that??  There was a link to TBYRNE Motorsports so I clicked it and tried to order online but was not able to do so.   banghead1

Is TBYRNE Motorsports still taking online orders?  I would like to find out if the Volant #15153 is still being offered with the "Old Carbon Fiber Lid" or if these are being sold with the new polished aluminum lid.  I would like the new polished aluminum lid but does it still have the Volant name on it?

Damn Mick, nice finds!  Do you know what the primo filter is?  I looked at these on the Volant site and they didn't say anything about some primo filter.   banghead1
There were a few better prices from the links above!

I read a thread on PT.net that TByrne is MIA; it was rumored that he's shut down. I haven't seen any more on it for about a week but I also haven't been looking.

Fowlhunter, you might be interested in a used ProCold intake - ygmn on CAFCNA had one listed for quite a while and I don't believe he ever sold it. I bought one used and can tell a difference over my old modified stock airbox and drop-in K&N. It's supposed to be a pretty good setup. We could meet somewhere if you wanted to take a look at mine to see if you might be interesed. PM me if you decide you want to do this.

BTW, I was kinda in your neighborhood this morning and had a little fun in the Av. It hadn't been out of the garage in at least a month. I had to pick up a 15' step ladder to install a new light in our 2-story entry; I picked it up at Mary Rents on 5th street. I didn't know exactly where it was and ended up in the far left "straight" lane in front of Bass Pro. I saw the rental place on the right so I decided to go for it when the light turned. I nailed the throttle at about 12 mph and both rear 20's started smoking! Did I add it was 18*? The Magnacharger really likes the cold air. Man, do I love this truck.  :cheesy1:

That's why I was looking there, price match!!  I also read he was a partner on CAFCNA so I thought I would give him the business.
