Its in! Mid-Gate Box Extrodinaire! Well, maybe...
« on: February 26, 2008, 07:25:08 PM »
Finished up the finishing touches on the box last weekend. Kicker 5 channel to power the interior speakers (Kicker 6.5 Component set in the front, 6.5 Coaxial set in the back, and my sub), and my Kicker L5 10. Nothing window shattering, but it will hold its own.  :evil5: Sub box extends in to the bed only 6". I tuned the box long and short, that way I didn't lose too much bed space. I think 6" is pretty minimal. Box is 1 cubic foot.  The bed side of the box is actually coated in "bed-liner". Water proof and all! The pic in the next post is just in a light coat of primer. I will get pics of the lined box later. The cover panel is held in by the rubber bumps at the top of the mid-gate and the two trim pieces at the bottom. Easy in, easy out.  :uglystupid2:

Sooo...let the constructive criticism begin...

There are 2 kinds of people: those who Av, and those who Av not!

Very nice work!  :goodstuff:  Mine is more bulky than that due to needing airspace for 2 subs.
2011 Silverado, Ext Cab Z-71 5.3, 6L80, Airaid CAI, Magnaflow cat-back, and a little tuning by me and HPT.

Gone but not forgotten, 2002 Victory red. The quickest lifted 4x4 AV in the US in it's day.

The more I look at that setup, the more I think it really doesn't look good in your Av.  Nope.  Not at all.  You need to take it out, leave it by the curb and I'll stop by and take care of it for you...
