When was that done?

2011 Silverado, Ext Cab Z-71 5.3, 6L80, Airaid CAI, Magnaflow cat-back, and a little tuning by me and HPT.

Gone but not forgotten, 2002 Victory red. The quickest lifted 4x4 AV in the US in it's day.

And what does that mean?  Am I guessing correctly that that is a chart showing HP??  I signed up for the dyno at National's, but have never seen the results before.

When was that done?

That was pull two and three 1/2 hour after we installed the cam and heads at Vinci in February 2006.... the big dip you see between 4000 and 5000 rpm was my crap tune that I winged in a motel room while the truck was being built..

Good news was it was on the rich side.. scared the hell out of me... the truck was bucking like a bronco with me in the back seat trying to log it while Greg pulled the dyno runs..

It took a total of 6 pulls with me steady pulling 10% fuel in each rpm range where power curve dropped to get a good hard pull... even with the pig rich bucking, we hit 480 rwhp and 479.4 ft pounds on that pull.... on pull 6, I had fueling closer, but still on the rich side and we kissed 500 rwhp.... then I took it home and added electric fans, aftercooler, and did some magic on the keyboard... :winkani:

Looks weak...................

It actually is... I only have one problem... I have yet to find anyone who can show me how to build power in a 5.3L........  :fast:

Naw, they aren't that bad.  The blower increases the effeciency, a good tune make the engine run clean, I can get 14.x on the highway even with 4.56 gears if I keep my speed down and foot lifted.  In town it drops pretty bad due to the converter maybe 9-10mpg.

I thought you were doing much better than that.  I'm doing about 15.  I think the converter is hurting me.

When I say in town, I'm talking about driving back and forth to work, 3 miles of stop and go driving, up and down hills, ect.  The 6 cyl Jeep doesn't do any better under those conditions.

The most that I have ever got since going to 4.56 gears is 16.  To do that you have to set the cruise on 65.  I only got 13 on the trip that I followed you back from Huntsville at 85-90.
