Justifiable homicide is right!  If only I knew who did it.  The mark goes all the way to the metal about a foot across the center of the nose of the hood.  It continues on to the side in kind of a hit & miss pattern, but those are not all the way to the metal.  Happened either Saturday night/Sunday morning the weekend before Fire & Ice.  Someone decided to get creative either at the movie theater Sat, or in front of the house during the night  :dunno: banghead1  I'm debating on putting in an insurance claim, since the hood has to be repainted (not cheap!!), but since my rates just went down I hate to disrupt that.  We'll see....

Goodmark hood??  Hmmmmm.... :evil5:

Dang there's some nice hoods there.  Thanks.  I'll need to start researching now - not a lot of choices for the cladded.  Most of those seem to be for WBH.  (I like the batwing hood, but it's not for Av's

I posted a WTB ad on Cafcna before I read this JR - which kind of hoods are available for that price?  Any of the Goodmark hoods, or just certain ones?  I'd be interested in this...

Thanks JR.  I particularly interested in the double scoop type - it will be at least a month before I can do anything so take your time!  Gotta pay taxes first

I can get the Goodmark hoods here in Denver for $350.

I got in on group buy when they first made them, I think it was $300

The Goodmark cowl or ramair steel hoods are GM approved, identical underside. Downside is it would take some fabrication as their are no kits I know of. Some of the fiberglass hoods you can connect right up to your air intake. The fiberglass isn't as sturdy of a hood and costs more.

Yes, I'm in contact with Tribal Av now - working on what color to use.  This Sport Red is turning out to be a hard color to find something that will "ghost" flame.

I think I'd just as soon stick with the steel hood - mainly for less problems down the line.  I was going to put a CAI on, but decided to wait till I get the hood.  What I want may end up not working with the hood, so I figured it's easier to change the type of CAI than modify a hood!!
