Looking at this 2006 TrailBlazer SS steering wheel i must say that the air bag cap called my attention. I like the SS logo in it.

I wonder how hard it is to replace that airbag cap cuz i want one

The only thing I can say is if you decide to try it, be careful. You don't want the airbag going off.

That does look sweet but it looks to me to be a little bit smaller wheel. I think I'd look at trading the whole thing.

Make sure that you disable the airbags first and DO NOT upset the clockspring in the column or you'll have a real chore on your hands.
We all hate having to reset them at work and do everything possible not to disturb them when doing rack R&I.

Im tired of searching for this thing. I think is dealer time (i have no clue on doing this mod).

If the wheel diameter is the same then i would think the airbag cap w/ss logo should fit mine.

Tomorrow at work I'll get all the info I can on the clockspring and airbags that I can from my computer there and send it to this one to forward to you so you at least have some info to research before you jump into something that could cause a huge headache if your not prepared. I have Alldata and indentifix so I will get everything that I can for you.

You should consider having a shop install this BD. We do wheels and columns regularly and still have trouble sometimes and hate them. It would beat blowing up your interior with the airbag.

Well.....i quit.

I decided not to use the new SS style as i already have the old style. The problem with the old style is,they dont make the steering wheel cap. I would have to make it.

....but since the Silverado SS doesnt have it from factory,im not doing so.

How about this? It's made by Grant. I got it about 3 weeks after I got my new Av. It took about 1/2 hour to put on..

Ive seen them and i dig 'em. I dont ming having the silver one

..... But its about the air bag emblem. The trailblazer has "SS" on them but it has the new "SS" style.

I can probably retrofit the old style but it would take some craftsmanship.

You can always find a nice 3D SS badge to stick on there..I might be doing a
Group buy on those wheels soon...
