Blue-probably a goofy question, but why do you change your wheels/tires?  I still have my stock ones, is this something I should be doing too?  Is it  a safety thing?   :dunno:

Mo - I also change mine out for the winter. I left my chrome 20's on one winter and they were a mess to clean up the next spring. I don't want to have to spend several hours cleaning them again, so the 17's go back on around this time of the year. Road salt and dirt/mud from the farm seems to be pretty tough on the chrome.
2002 LPM Z71, factory 4.10s - Magnacharger w/3" pulley, TOG's headers, 216/224-.551/.551-115 cam/pushrods/dual springs/titanium retainers, built tranny, Yank TT2600 stall converter, 24K GVW Tru-Cool tranny cooler, Hooker Max-Flow muffler, Flex-A-Lites, ProCold intake, MSD wires & TR6 plugs, 20" Panther Juice 6's, 2.8" rear lowering springs & assorted hardware, J&J Enterprises stainless grille, body-color painted taillight covers. Self-tuned with HP Tuners software.

Cracked rear bumper cover from a run-in with a deer in fall 2008!

Yeah Mo...like Joe said.    Salt and snow can be hard on Chrome wheels.  It really sucks for us midwesterners but i would think you want to preserve the looks of your expensive wheels a lot longer.   Last year i got lazy and skipped it. When spring came around, i noticed rust dots on them. Thats why theyre going to storage for the season.

Hey Mo,

Ain't your wheels AL-U-Minium?  Pretty sure they wont rust, may get pock marks but not rust.

( swapping for the winter also give you a longer life span on the fancy tires  :winkani: )

Actually I think I remember Fouse telling me the wheels are stainless steel?  Does that sound right?  I don't think they are chrome-different color.   :dunno: (And they are awfully shiny to be alumni - amulini- alumin...yeah-the other stuff.  buck2 )
It's research time!!

I got the other two tires put on Saturday so I now have the full set of 4 on.  Looks nice to finally have all 4 tires the same

Dang-don't want to put the others back on  banghead1 -won't look as pretty.  But it does make sense.  I sure don't want to have to buy another set just cuz I chose looks over practicality...  buck2
