Back up Cameras
« on: October 03, 2007, 07:57:31 AM »
I'm thinking about a back up camera for my AV. any suggestions on brands? How about mounting the screen without going crazy on my dash? I've had my Av for 5 days now and am not quite ready to go at it with a saw.LOL

There are several systems out there.  I have a in-dash NAV/DVD that becomes a back-up cam when the truck is shifted into reverse.

2011 Silverado, Ext Cab Z-71 5.3, 6L80, Airaid CAI, Magnaflow cat-back, and a little tuning by me and HPT.

Gone but not forgotten, 2002 Victory red. The quickest lifted 4x4 AV in the US in it's day.

I was just checking out ebay. I should be able to get one shipped (complete wireless system) for around $135 for one that's waterproof and has the ir. It has a 2.5" color monitor with it.

The company I got mine from isn't in business anymore but here's a pic of my monitor.

make sure it's a reputable company.  I absolutely love my pioneer rear view camera.  But for that price you only get the camera.
