I believe these were an add-on option for the towing package... Ive seen a lot of them on 3/4 ton and 1 ton silverados and avalanches. There pretty easy to spot, they have the accordion like cover between the actual mirror housing and the door mount. The switch panel on the drivers door is a bit different. The adjuster for the glass can be pressed to switch to power extension. The whole mirror pushes out about 10" for better sight when pulling or towing. Here's a couple shots of the mirrors extended and the switches. Just trying to find out if the switches will work with the standard mirrors. I dont like ass-u-me-ing
Not a bad idea. Keep hearing talks of the Bratfest but dont think I can swing it. I think its the same switch pad but not really sure... On the D-pad under the light up mirror are 2 little arrows that I dont remember seeing on my Z66. I accidently discovered the power in and out when I was cleaning the Avy. I was wiping the buttons down and the mirror started moving.
