Which programmer is better?
« on: July 14, 2012, 09:51:05 PM »
The main 3 performance tuners I've seen are : Hypertech, Superchip, & the Diablo II. So........which of these are you getting more bang for your buck? Why did you like or dislike it? If I missed any other programmers, please feel free to comment on your experience.

If I were to buy one right now, it would be HPTuners.

There is also EFILive, but I 'm not that familiar with them plus they are more expensive than HPTuners

I am using an edge CTS  No complaints. Love the gauge pack features.

Of course, I only use the canned tunes, the towing one specifically. It does feel there is more pep when unloaded but that could be the transmision shifting better. It did gain at least 1/2 mpg with the trailer connected.

Pricey but I'd buy another.

Oh yeah, I did have to switch to 91+ octane. Makes sense if I'd thought about it, I just did'nt think about before hand.

Heard some bad things about Bullydog, talked me out of that one.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk when i should have been doing something useful

The Hypertech I had was alright, although like all of the handhelds had limitations, probably more than many of the other handhelds.  When I sold it I went with HPTuners which can give me access to about 500 parameters for custom tuning - I've probably messed with maybe 1/3 of them.  I'm very happy with it, but the gauge display you can get with some of the handhelds is nice.  I can display gauges with HPTuners, but on a laptop screen, which I don't want to mess with all of the time.

I am using the DiabloSport Predator programmer!  I love it! The acceleration is amazing.  I can tell a difference in the power of the motor! I get the added gas mileage which helps out a lot.  I went from 22mpg to 27.

Which is unbelievable.
