Rust stickers thwart stupid thieves from stealing your car
« on: September 20, 2007, 07:50:49 PM »

There's nothing more eye-catching to a thief than a new car or bike. Your brand new pride and joy is just asking to be stolen, especially if you leave it parked on the street. That's why designer Dominic Wilcox made stickers to fool stupid thieves into thinking your wheels aren't worth stealing.

Despite the fact they look quite convincing in the photos. Wilcox doesn't offer any guarantees his stickers will actually work. He does say, however, that he placed them on his bike and it hasn't been stolen yet. What more evidence do you need?

Part of the appeal of owning a new car is showing it off, which you clearly can't do with these stickers applied. However, if that means you get to keep the aforementioned item from being stolen while parked in unseemly parts of town, it's all good.

If anyone remembers old PEE WEE HERMAN   :ass05:

He had an awsome bike security system that I think would be way more interesting of a mod than stickers!

A charge on the chassis could do wonders!! :evil5:

I've had this thought in my head for years.  There should be some way to rig up a coil to the chassis, while a dog is standing on the ground.  When he whizzes on your wheel, 40,000 volt hit him right in the........

If I figure out how to make it work, my wheels will stay cleaner and there may even be fewer puppies running wild in the neighborhood. ;D

Gone but not forgotten, 2002 Victory red. The quickest lifted 4x4 AV in the US in it's day.

And it might just teach a few door bangers in the parking lots a thing or two!!!! :thumb:

The key is to have a camera to catch it in action, so your AV has a self defense plea for knocking the crap out of someone.  After a proximity sensor warns the victim right before they come into contact...... buck2

I'm betting a mod using a tazer could do the trick. :evil5:

I think the key to the whole system is to figure out how to isolate the electrical system ground from the charge put on the chassis.  Maybe use the keyless entry to somehow throw a switch and enable a secondary electrical setup to come on and shut off power to the AV system.......

Hmmmm....something to think about.
