While traveling in the isles of Wally-World i stumbled upon a set of $10 Pilot LED like bars. Hmmm i thought,what if.

Easy enuff to make your door look cool after you open it.

-Weather Resistant
-Easy to mount on interior or exterior surfaces
-Thi design allows easy installation in small places
-Lens design collects and distributes LED light
-Simulated neon look
-No drilling
-No Cutting

Total Cost= $10-20
Time= 35 min.
Beers= 3
Weather= 95*

Pilot LED Light Bar (Blue) PN #CZ-152BWK

Pry off the inside door light from the red section off the panel

Remove connector

Fish the power cord from the LED bar thru behind the inside door pocket

Center the LED bar where you want it and peel the red backing

Set and wires concealed

Cut excess wires

You could cut the wires and tape 'em,solder or..... i used a 3 way ScotchLocks for the job. Very easy and less mess.

Bite the wires. Use common sense. Positve with positive and negative with negative
Solid Blue to Black(-) and White/Blue to White(+)

Reconnect inside door light

....and Wolla!

***Replace door light to your color using 194 LED's

Easy as pie! Now perform same procedure on other door

***Note: This mod was performed at 4 pm. Will look alot better at night :thumb:

***Expect these to break

Hey, that's great! I even think I could do that....

Do those scotch locks work only on interior applications? I wanted to "hard" wire my LOF to the trailer hitch harness-would those work?

Yep. I use them everyday at work anjd i used them on my LOF as well. I work for at&t and these have a special grease in them for anti-corrosion. I think but not sure Radio Shack Have them.

Thanks-I'll check at my R/S-it's a pretty small one-didn't have the LED's I wanted for the sail panel mod. But they will order anything you need and ship it straight to your door. So unless you're in a hurry, it works! I have a friend that works for the other company (sshhhh-SWB). I may ask him if he has a hand full or so to forget in the backseat of my Av!! ;D

These will work too. These come in a bag with assorted sizes.You can find these at RadioShack HomeDepot for sure.

These are used,so the teeth are missing. I pulled them off from a previous mod on my Halo headlights.

Im going today to find a couple more to install under the floor boards since GM forgot to add lights in there.

...and a white neon license plate frame to use when on reverse :thumb:

Wow! I went to Walmart,and the LED tubes sold out

Went to AutoZone and they have them there for $16

i didnt buy 'em and couldnt find the white neon license plate either

Just a suggestion, when I had my VStar, it was glacier blue and white, I wired the blue license plate LED's up under the gas tank and seat. They shined off of the chrome on the engine. Looked awesome at night. I'll see if I can scrape up some old pics.

You can get the lights at autozone for I think around $4 for two lights.
