Need some HELP!!!
« on: January 23, 2012, 10:54:22 PM »
Hello all, this is my first new thread and I hope this is the right place for it... :cheesy1: I had a Flowmaster Delta Flow 50 Series CAT back exhaust installed this afternoon. I like the "twin tip" look but the muffler shop I went to was very limited on exhaust tip selection. I chose what I felt was their best looking option but was very disappointed with the look once it was installed. (Sounds amazing though, I'll post a video soon) I Found almost exactly what I was looking for on Flo-Pro's website however I need a 2 1/4 inlet and a 3 or 3 1/2 outlet. The Website has the DW Dual Round Slant twin tip, part number ST123, listed as a 2 1/2 inlet with a 3 1/2 outlet. http://www.flopro.com/tipsdual.html

I'm really hoping you guys could help me find something very similar to this or at least help me find a place to get what I need. I looked online at Summit and Jegs but they seemed a bit pricy. I got into contact with a guy today that can make the modifications I want I just need to come up with the tips! Thanks in advance for any help or guidance.

Yes but they seem very expensive. I think I have found the solution. I'am going to order the 2 1/2 inch inlet version of the tips that I want and then weld on an adapter so that it will fit the rest of the tubing. This is going to end up a little more custom than I was hoping for but I gotta get the look right!

Yep. Just get a 2 1/4 to 2 1/2" adapter and get the tips to you want.

You could always just use clamps instead of welding if you want to do it yourself.
I'm not a big fan of U-Bolt clamps, but they also make band clamps that work well.

Edit: Did a little search.
Wonder if something like this would work:

Here is the video I promised. Shot with an iPhone and I didn't plan it out to well. Maybe next time I'll turn the camera sideways so the video fills up the screen.

I like the sound of that. Healthy. I don't think I've been outside of my avy since I did the exhaust to see what it sounds like. I may have to video mine and post it.

Love it Fambreezy!   :victory:

Like I said in a comment on one of the photos you put up I jumped on that tip, the FloPro ST123 almost immediately.  I'll have it installed when my sister drops by to visit me in May maybe.

Your exhaust sounds hearty.  love it!
