How do I run wire from factory amp?
« on: January 21, 2012, 10:04:08 PM »
Ok, I have stock bose speaker, aftermarket headunit, putting in new door speaker with a aftermarket amp. I heard you can disconnect the speaker wires off the factory amp thats under the center console and run them to the new amp? How hard is this to do?

First off what speakers are you getting for the doors?  The best way to do this is get what they call 9 conductor wire. It's made by a few Co's and any good 12volt shop should have it.. about $1.00-$2.50 per foot.  You run that from your new amp to the speaker leads off of the old Bose amp. Makes it very easy..Just make sure you have a 9 volt batt with you so you can Tap the right wires.
