Hay brotha no worries on starting a new thread that wat were here for!

What you're looking for a (HID) the ones you can buy from the parts store are just brighter halogen.. I purchased mine from ddmtuning.com your gonna need 9006 for the lows and 880 for the fogs... Now I don't recommend getting the 55watt ballast simply because you can melt the housing, Go with a 35watt. You don't need to get the slim ballast but they do make hiding them a little easier. Hope this helps brotha

You can get hid in the highs but the lows are bright enough that you really don't need them.. and if you get the fogs too you're never gonna use the highs. But if you do want the highs to be hid too then you need ... 9007... I think...same deal 35watt ballast and you will want the slim line ballast simply because its gonna be harder to tuck 2 sets of ballasts.

you don't have to. The Hids in the low beam are plenty bright and unless you can leave your high beams on for a while. It isn't good on the ballast to keep turning them on and off rapidly. The other thing you need to know is the fog lights. Is your truck cladded? If so, then the fogs are the 880, if it isn't then its another number and id have to look that up from home.

no it wont affect your engine one bit... actuall HIDs use less energy then the standard halogen bulbs.

Nope none of that. It's just a plug and play set up for our trucks... Since you have the non clad dead version I'm not too sure what bulb your fogs are.. Do a quick google search..3k is JDM yellow 6k is crystal white  8k is a bright blue 10k is a deep blue. And 12k is purple... Kinda pinkish...

One thing about the DDM setup, you may have to repin the plug to correct the polarity. Takes about 2 minutes to do it. There's pix on here in one of the HID threads.

He's correct the plugs need to be reversed.you can do what I did and just take a set of wire cutters and cut the retaining pin and plug it in backwards or you can do it the better way and switch the polarity of the harness really easy to do.

Sooooo today i did a number of things...
* All on hi light mod
* 35w 8000k HIDs in the lows (thank you for the polarity swap repost) :dans2:

Todo list...
* HIDs in fogs(after buying another foglight/housing from when i took out a dog on the freeway. Wont happen with my HIDS though lol) will be 8000k but not sure on wattage (suggestions????)
* and whether or not to HID my brights cuz i think the stock ones look funny with it if i flip em on (floods out the HID look)
And do yall put diff bulbs on yalls DRL/blinkers?

trying to keep up with you guys but im having difficult time doing so financially. :sotired:

Alsoooo it seems like yall rearrange the position of yalls bulbs in different places for a different look? Or am i trippin lol

stick with 35w in the fogs. They don't need to be any brighter
That's personal preference. I DON"T use them in my high beams as I don't have the chance to run my highs very much. It would be too much on/off/on/off for the ballast. They don't like constant power cycles
Amber DRLS
Don't try to keep up with others. Mod at your own pace. We're gonna be around a long time. I've have mine over 4 years now and just when I think I'm done with it..... :cheesy1:

just installed AMBER DRL's looks sick awesome idea...

now.... seeing as its daytime... after i installed them i turned the truck on to look at em, went around to the front and no lights were on at all soooo i turned them on from the dash and the lows and drls and the blinker lights which iono what they're called came on but when i turned the dial to get the lights on my radio stopped and started playing again? maby because of the hid's ????? (i have the all on hi mod(4 diodes)) so when im driving in daylight what lights are normally on supposed to be on (with my lights on "auto")? and if you dont have the all on hi mod(factory set up) what lights should come on in the daytime on the "auto" setting.

<--- amateur and i know i sound like a retard but hey, noones gonna judge

Those are your parking lights.. as far as I know they stay on all the time... Your drls only come on when you are in drive... Try this... Turn your key to the on position DON'T START THE TRUCK. Apply the e-break and put the truck in drive and see if they come on. If they don't go over the wiring you did in the relays. You may of gotten something backwards

Unless the 04 is different than the 02, he needs a 9005 bulb for the highs. I have both high beam and low beam HID's in my AV. I have 55watt 5000k in the lows and 35watt 6000k in the highs.
