Well I'm going from stock to this, so I'm expecting a marked improvement.  :dans2:
I'll post up when I get them in.

The big question will be how long they will last. I've seen a lot of complaints about the Silverstars not lasting very long. I hope you like them and that they last for you.

My 2 cent's worth is I'd rather get a cheap set of HIDs ($30-$35) and be done with it. They put out way more light than any halogen capsule will. I went from an 80W modified high beam bulb in my lows to 35W HIDs and there is no comparison - the HIDs are way brighter. I won't even discuss how bright the 50W HIDs that went into my fogs are........
2002 LPM Z71, factory 4.10s - Magnacharger w/3" pulley, TOG's headers, 216/224-.551/.551-115 cam/pushrods/dual springs/titanium retainers, built tranny, Yank TT2600 stall converter, 24K GVW Tru-Cool tranny cooler,  Flex-A-Lites, ProCold intake, MSD wires & TR6 plugs, 20" Panther Juice 6's, 2.8" rear lowering springs & assorted hardware, J&J Enterprises stainless grille, body-color painted taillight covers. Self-tuned with HP Tuners software.

Cracked rear bumper cover from a run-in with a deer in fall 2008!

No, but I've commented in several HID threads. Between the different vehicles I own or have owned I've had at least 4 different brands of cheap HID setups; all of them have worked flawlessly. Most have been bought at auction on fleabay. I'd be hesitant to put 50W HIDs in a small housing but am not concerned on the cladded Avalanche because the fog light housing is pretty large.

Time for a headlight upgrade

My big question is this:  what year AV are you putting this in?  If I change out the headlight bulbs to this style of light I sure as heck will be getting matching fog lights. But I have the 2007 and up until about a year ago no one sold aftermarket bulbs, or at least that I could find. My first fog light went out in about 09 and I had to order from the dealer because no one sold them.

I guess I could search now and find out but I'm sure you guys can tell me where to go to get the HID's for both my head lights and my fog lights???

The big question will be how long they will last. I've seen a lot of complaints about the Silverstars not lasting very long. I hope you like them and that they last for you.

Went for a ride last night and all I can say is, that compared to stock, what a difference. We'll have to see how long they last. I agree with DD, I will be upgrading my fogs in the near future.
