Topic: Purple Pearl Flames.....

this is off topic (and unlike me ) but i would really like to see a pic of your purple ghost flames on your AV Z66 Butch!

Really they are Purple Pearl, the do ghost from "to heavy" to a light gray. I wish the painter had made one or two less passes with the pearl, but they look good most of the time.......I guess I don't have any finished pictures after the last change or two. Here are some with the old wheels....

Here are the wheels that are on it now. Also notice that I painted the openings in the teak running boards. I alsh have it Gatorbacked in BLACK, and it looks sharp with the newest additions!

how far back do your flames go?

They are on the hood, that air scoop, both front fenders and both front doors. I have a old hot rod friend who has a friend that was just starting his own body shop and wanted to get into this type of work. He painted the flames, my powerbar, the engine cover, the fuse box lid and the top of the factory air box and clear coated it all for $600. I could have paid a LOT more and got a better job but for what I paid I am happy! He is a younger guy and has some experience with flames but very little with pearl paint, painting pearl is more of an art than a science!
