If you wanted a WBH that bad you should have told me... There are plenty for sale around here.. I remember taking my side parts off for paint on my 02.. As you did I just Ripped them off...And broke about 75% of the clips...

.....and your MO is ?what??
Saved your butt again. Make good use of that toilet paper.
Been down this same path with mine recently. Just be careful not to pull to hard and break the clip mounts off the back of the Cladding. What is your plan, paint or something else? One more question, what do the rear quarter panels look like in front of the tires? Was going to do the rust repair myself but finding the time is almost impossible. Taking it to a body shop next week for an estimate to remove the rusted metal and have new welded in. Good luck and keep us posted. My next piece to come of is the front bumper cover.
Does anybody know much about the krylon fusion paint? My main concern is durability.. will this stuff hold up to rocks from the road and from common hazards while off-road. (Brush, tree branches, and the mud.) SENT FROM MY EVO 4G
I really think just about anything is going to get beat up and need touched up. Paint is bonded onto the metal parts of the truck and it chips. Plastic is a little more forgiving when things bounce off of it so it may work. Another thing you might try is some roll on bedliner material. It won't be as thick at the spray on stuff but once it's muddy, I don't know how easy it will be to get clean with all the little nooks and crannies that's in it.
Looks good man Is that black?
Didn't turn out quite like the way I wanted it to... I think I'm gonna be redoing it... Anybody have any pointers?SENT FROM MY EVO 4G
Tape the whole way around all the letters, even the inside of them. AND, is that the front of an old Mercedes I see in the pix?
Is that the 82 Silver collectors ed Vette? I want one BAD!! Anyway good job so far. When I painted my sides I had extra sides to try differant things on. I ended up painting part of it then getting the color match sticker for the letters...
I was wondering how the Krylon would do on the cladding... looks very nice. Is this the normal paint Avy owners are using to get their sweet results ? Also what "Prep" needed to be done? (sanding or chemical wipe?) i have heard of a few different things to do as prep when it comes to painting cladding but not sure if it is good info. Thanks
