Last year we did a Sat night dinner and drinks. Twiggy and I took the kids to the Budweiser brewery on Sat afternoon for the free tour. Ski Edition mentioned a round of golf on Sat morning and then his family is going to the Cards/Reds game.Anyone up for a round of golf? I'm bringing my clubs with me also.Anything else people think about doing?
Hey Ski, I think we can have Mick caddy for us.
I'll have Beave and Trouble with me, who neither have been to St. Louis. I am sure we will do the Bud tour and go see the Arch. Will be up for dinner and drinks Sat night!
I didn't see this thread, when is the casino run? hmmmDidit
Intimidator and family and us are going to do the Bud tour at 10am and the Arch at 4pm on Saturday. Then plan to meet up for dinner and cocktails!
If you plan to ride to the top of the arch you should go down earlier in the day and buy your tickets. There is a limited number of tickets and they normally sell out fairly early. I'd suggest you make time to swing by on your way to the Bud tour. The Arch and the Bud factory aren't too far apart.
thanks ... we booked them on-line .... so we should be good to go ....John
When do you want to go? How late do you want to stay out?
LOL depends on whether or not were winning, since were only gonna be there Sat evening as fas as the two of us, we were thinking about eating at the buffet at the casino. Then play a bit.Didit
Depends on how the rack is coming along?
Speaking of........................................
Got a little more done but ran into problems, I screwed up on the hole/bracket dimensions for the front brackets. I had them fabricated and went to install them and found the problem. I looked at the CAD drawings I had made and the brackets are made to the drawing, so now I have to go back to my original sketch and see what I had.
I'm liking that idea.Sent by my Atrix 4G
I'm thinking about five or six for going, a lot of times if you sign up for their players club card at the casino, you get a free buffet coupon, not sure if this is the case there or not. Eat first then gamble the night away, lol. Let me know, you got the number.Didit
We're in. I worked 27 hours OT this week and more to come in the next two weeks. I can afford to lose a couple of bucks.
Is this going to be where the Dinner/Drinks are? Intimidator and us have kids, so we won't be able to join you (most casinos do not allow children anywhere on property). We can stay DTO and head to station square or something, just need to know so we can make plans. The 7 of us have tickets to the Arch at 4pm Saturday. Thanks!
I don't think so. Fowlhunter will have a place to go that is kid friendly. GBT and Toots are coming also and are planning on going to the Arch on Saturday.
Ok, cool! Brian would go to the casino after dinner...which one are you all going to? Looks like there are 3-4 in the area?? We bought our tickets on line to the Arch. Hope that will speed the process along; and it came with free parking...yay!
All the casinos around here allow kids, just not on the casino game floor. If you want a buffet, I'd have to say Ameristar is the best.
So then in that case, hehe you go to the one that has the best payouts! Didit
Id be interested in the brewery tour. How much is it? Also id like to visit the arch but I will not go inside.
We are doing Bud at 10am and Arch at 4pm. Lunch somewhere in between, maybe Union Station. Come hang with us!
Sounds like a plan, Count me in too.
Yay! You might want to go online and buy tickets for 4pm. Intimidator and us have already bought ours for that time slot. http://ticketsforthearch.com/estore/ http://ticketsforthearch.com/estore/Content/Commerce/Products/DisplayProducts.aspx?ActivityGroupCode=10&ActivityCategoryCode=100You want the North Tram Tickets for 4pm. You have to buy them in advance, they don't do same day sales (online). If you try to buy them there that day, you are first come first serve and I understand the lines are looooong.
She's correct. I think we stood in line for about an hour for a tram ride that was 2 hours later.I'm pretty sure Jim and Carol are going to do that also. I mentioned the fact that you were taking the 4 o'clock ride up top and bought your tickets online.
Got my tickets for the North Tram at 4pm.Thanks for the info.
awesome! John
X2!! Do we want to try to meet for breakfast before the Bud tour? I have no idea how long of a drive it is from hotel to Bud plant. Or wait...does the hotel have breakfast? I forget....
Would be a nice idea if we can find out how much travel time we need to get to the plant.
on a Saturday morning I think it's about 20-30 mins.
In that case I vote for breakfast.
Yep, mapquest says 37 minutes. Meet at 8ish at hotels breakfast?
