now if i bypass the factory amp... what will that effect?
Your chimes wont work. If you want the steering wheel controls to work you'll need an adapter also.

I think the on* won't work either.... The deck I had before worked with it but since I put in the double din screen I lost it and the steering wheel controls :(

Kinda. I had a little bit of whine from the alternator  but for the most part yes it was fine... I recommend changing out the speakers tho. The stock bose can't really hold up to aftermarket decks out put

I would not say that The Stock speakers will handle the 10-22 watts that most Aftermarket radio's put out. As a matter of fact most have a good crossover in them and you can make the Bose or stock speakers sound about 75% better then with the GM radio.

With the radio crossover you can give the speakers a good cut off point and turn it up more without distortion..
