Thats right, a 2 for 1 GTG

From Tanks to the Batmobile

Saturday June 11th, 2011 11:30am

The National Military History Center offers over 150 World War II military vehicles and thousands of uniforms, weapons and smaller artifacts to view. This is an expanding exhibit as pieces become available.

The Kruse Automotive & Carriage Museum offers more than a 100 different vehicles ranging from classic carriages to customs, to race cars and your television and movie favorites such as the Batmobile, the General Lee, and Knight Rider!

The museum is located just south of Auburn Indiana, at exit 126, its on the west side of the interstate right at the exit, you can't miss it! There is a $10 admission fee, but this covers BOTH museums, if there is enough interest I will inquire about the group discount, seniors are a bit cheaper.

I'm guessing the museum will take at least a couple of hours, after this we will cruise south on 69 to exit 109 (Goshen Rd) in Ft Wayne and go to King Gyro's for lunch, they have quite a menu check it out.

Who's up for some tanks cars and ribs! mmmmmmm

As an added bonus. This is the place that is owned by project black out's family. The have been winning the best ribs in Ft Wayne for a while now. We'll get a good head count so they can expect how many to prepare for. Check out their menu from the website. Looks good to me

Our goal is bringing the bike weather permitting and a few other riders from the area. If the weather is ugly then we'll bring one of the Avy's.

I better go email my boss and tell him I need the day off.

Gotta say guys the kruse museum is a really sweet place!!!! We also have another great family attraction here! It's our children's zoo. It was ranked 5th best children's zoo in the nation! It's only SECONDS away from the restaurant! Within walking distance!... ill try n get more info on that when I get home tonight. We also have the 3largest bar for ticket sales! We got plenty here for the whole family n adults! I'll get home later on n ill post more info on everything

Come on guys this is a really nice attraction! I just talked with my father n mother on this and they are excited! Were currently doing some remodeling on the building n parking lots.. my father threw out an idea of a grand re-opening and host the CAC!

Dang that's ok brotha theirs always next time! I'm gonna try n make it to as many g2g as possible... I figured 5 hours in any direction is reasonable but I'd make exceptions if its a really good event

The Monster Truck show is 15 for adults and 12 for children if your so inclined. I would think we should be able to see them from the parking lot, lol.

I was able to get the group rate for the museums of 7 per person, woohooo

Not sure yet. Depends on A), the job. I start a new postition at ATT the beginning of June and may have to go to Chicago for training

IF, That's the scenario, then I will be coming from one direction and Twiggy from the other. We'll end up staying overnight there and go our separate ways sometime Sunday afternoon. Come on everybody were getting close to this GTG!!!!!! Just got permission from a land owner said we can use his trails! Not too sure how rough they are but he says his bronco gets through it! So we got good food! Cool cars! A zoo! A cruise! And now somewhere to go off road!

WOW thanks to those that made the drive for a wonderful time at the Kruse American Heritage Museum, it was so nice to meet you LuvMyAv, and of course Nick(PBO) as well. OBB and Twiggy thanks for making the ride, and Butch n Jo, well we knew you would come for lunch, lol. If you ever get the chance and the time to stop in, it really is a Must See place, awesome cars, friendly people what else could you ask for!

I posted a puzzling question on TOS, might as well post it here also

We had to go back to the Ft this morning to pick up some folks we had dropped off Sat. Soooo left at 5:30 this morning on a full tank. Got 17.38mpg with the cruise on at 70mph. Filled before we left the Ft and rushed back to Indy with the cruise on at 75mph (yes made it back in time for church at 10 lol) and filled up and we got 18.57mpg, so does going faster save gas, lol. hmmm

I haven't had a chance to post all the pictures.. its been a chore filled day. I had to change the sign back lol then washed the bike and installed the rest of the off road lights in the back of the Avy... Haven't wired them up yet because I wanna hook them up with the bed lights... Gotta figure out what circuit to tap into and which fuse it is... I think I can just splice into the wires before the cargo bed lights but I wanna find out for sure if it can handle the load of 4 55watt lights

I talked with my buddy he know blowers and furnish inside n out he built the system for my audi and it was perfect... He says that the bottom blower has a smaller pulley!! Yes it does compress the air twice but the top blower actually helps feed the primary one because it couldn't suck all the air it would need to run at its 100% performance so it gets help for the secondary blower on top!
