We had the soft tonneau cover on widow's '06 Avalanche.  Worst mistake we ever made with any of our AV's, bar none.

I know that Fowlhunter was in a little fender bender and was looking for some cladding parts and running boards for his AV.  You didn't say what might still be available off this unit, but you may be able to help him out!

Is it possible to post picks of the running boards? Do you have any idea what the boards would sell for?
Thanks!

I liked my soft Cover on my old 02. But winter time it was harder to take it on and off...  But as said above never had any water in the bed unlike the hard covers on my 08..

I thot about it, and I may think about going with a soft tonneau cover for my avy, only because I see the back panel sagging every time i look in the rear-view, ugghhh....  and i dont really feel like screwing in some metal to reinforce it, even if i get to secure the panels as well with padlocks.  any idea how much they run for?  Thank you.

:jacked: I'm going the Didit route to fix the sag in my #3 panel as soon as I get around to it. I've been known to not mind drilling holes all over my Avy

If your trying to get away from sagging panels, the soft cover is not the answer.  It ends up sagging, then leaking, worse than the panels.

OK, I do remember reading that now. It looks like a piece of angle iron attached to the bottom of the cover. Do you know, do the screws/bolts go through the panel or thread in from the underside?

Thanks again

enjoy

maybe if it really is a bad idea to go the soft cover, then i may just suck it up and screw the angle iron to the panel then use the 2" masterlock padlocks to secure the whole thing...thank you!

Have you had a chance to get any pics yet? Does the red 1500 flood victim Av have running boards, which boards look the best?

Thanks

I truly appreciate your help with the pics and your effort but I think I'm going to repair the running board I have, this should give me additional funds from the insurance layout to figure out what I'm going to do to get the cladding to match.
Thanks again.
