Putnam Reciever and Hopkins Plug
« on: March 29, 2011, 04:21:07 PM »
Put in a Putnam XDR Class V receiver and Hopkins plug in the bumper the last few days.  I think it looks a lot cleaner with the Go Rhino Hitch Step covering the view of the receiver.  I'm liking it!

Sure!  We just template the plastic with the retaining frame, cut it and then go at the bumper.  The hole saw went through my bumper in less than a minute of medium speed drilling.  That thing is tough!!

I turned the computer off. I'll post up the part number in the morning. Got it at AutoZone for $25. I did talk to the guy I bought the receiver from and for a cladded, he had to buy longer bolts. Going to go get some stainless steel bolts for mine. I hate to do a step by step and it not come out right. We'll do it on yours. You going to have yours or Twiggy's on Memorial day?  We can do your plug or her hitch!!

Dunno yet. Depends on what kind of mileage mine is actually getting. It still hasn't been on the highway for more than 20 miles at a time since the lift and everything so I can't be sure how accurate it is. I've corrected the tire size in the computer again so hopefully we'll find out shortly.
