What ya talking about . . that's OEM soft cover. Hard covers are still better though.

I've never seen the OEM soft covers but I was guessing that's what it was. I don't know why anyone would want them instead of the hard covers.

Ours came with the electric soft cover. Only because the dealer just wanted to see what it looked like. I found another at a dealer in Clinton, Mo and that's the same reason he hadn't sold it yet was because nobody wanted the soft cover. It was ok only because it was different. It doesn't slide all the way open so you still have parts in the way when you try to load something longer than 4 ft and taller than the cover. Yes you could lower the entire mid gate however you still had the motor in the way. It was remote controlled though. We tried to make the dealer swap it out as part of the sale but they balked when they found out that the hard covers are $2400. The electric soft cover is $1400 on gmpartsdirect.com and $1700 through GM. So I bought some covers from a guy up by Chicago for $500 and the strikers from gmpartsdirect to the tune of $240, almost double that through GM. And now the electric cover sits in the top of the garage just in case I decide to get rid of the Av. I tried selling the damn thing and couldn't even get $500 for it. It was easy enough to rid, one snap plug, 2 clamps and 4 bolts and it was off all in one piece.
