does anyone know if installing a k&n air filter system will void any portion of the factory warranty or any purchased extended warranty?

SEMA will tell you it won't void a warranty, and will point out the law that they worked to get passed to support their view.  If you're nervous about it, keep the stock pieces and put them in when you go for warranty work.

18x10 Forged Weld Wheels, BFG g-Force KDWs, JBA shorties, custom catback with FM70, Crane plug wires, Trailblazer Torque Converter, bigger cam, efans, HP Tuners custom tune, WAAG stuff, mildly boosted with Vortech Supercharger.......

I've never read it but it's been referred to quite a bit in almost any vehicle forum you look through.

X2

It won't void your warranty. By federal law, the only time an aftermarket part can void a warranty is if that part can be proven to be the cause of the problem with the vehicle....... :goodstuff:
