Update on the fuel pump. Craig called me today and told me that the top of the pump was so rusted and the metal lines swelled up that they cracked the plastic feed lines and that will need replaced also. Those will be here Monday. Here's a pix he sent me of the top of the fuel assembly. I don't know what the shiny parts are but you can see the rust. He also broke one of those strap bolts we just had out at Bratfest last year when we changed out the straps. Just goes to show what years of running a vehicle on oil well roads without proper cleaning will do. I don't know how many people actually get under their trucks to spray in areas like the top of the fuel tank but it is something to keep in mind for those that like to go mudding and such.

I'll get some better pix Monday after we get Heather shipped off to Basic.

Here's some pix of the carnage. Damn pump was still working just fine. I guess I'll keep the guts if for when Twiggy's dies. Hopefully it will be usefull. You can see where the lines up top are gone and in the second pix how the plastic line cracked from all the rust.
