It has been way to long since we have had a GTG in Indiana! Lets get together for a great time and some good food on March the 12th. I know that we have several new members who have never been to a GTG so I am going to PM & email them and try to get some of them out to meet with us.

We have been invited to view the private Classic Car Collection of Ray Skillman. Ray Skillman is one of the largest new car dealers in the Indianapolis area with 8 locations and offering many makes of autos. He has amassed one of the largest private collections of classic cars in the world and has invited us to view them! Everyone is invited, if you have friends or family that are into Classic Cars invite them, you don't have to be a member of CAFCNA to join us at this GTG!

Most of the cars in this collection are for sale so if you think that you might be temped bring your checkbook!

We will meet in the parking lot of Ray Skillman at 10AM and after some chatting we will go in and view the cars at your leisure. This is not a guided tour, you are free to spend as much or as little time as you wish inside.

After the tour we will cruise to Jonathan Byrd's Cafeteria in Greenwood for lunch. Jonathan Byrd's is the largest Cafeteria, Banquet and Catering facility in the world! We have ate at Jonathan Byrd's several times and find that they have great food and a very large selection. Their prices are good with 2 people being able to eat a full meal in the $20 to $25 range.

This should be a great GTG and allow us to get out of the house and shake that dreaded CABIN FEVER!! Please post up and get on the attending list, it will be great connecting with old friends and meeting new ones.

Sounds like a great time. Would love to make it but we'll be passing though Indy the day before on the way home from Ft Leonardwood. I told the ex that I'd have Heather to her sometime late Fri night as she leaves for Basic on Sunday.

The Red Roof Inn at exit 99 Greenwood seems to be the motel of choice.

as a FYI, when going to this location, the GPS will get you close, very close, however..........when going south on US 31, you will come across a Ford Dealership and a Buick Dealership next to one another on the west side of the street, you will need to turn to the right on the lane between the two dealerships, the museum is behind the Ford dealership, there is no name on the building though the 1280 is above the door, look for the AV's in the parking lot, lol.

Fri evening myself and Goldbowtie and Lu n Toots will be dining at "Little Mexico"! Lu and I stopped there today for lunch, uh the margaritas are wonderful is all I can say, and by no means am I a margarita aficianado, my head hurts! Reasonably priced, decor was uh Mexican, the burritos were yummy! From the Red Roof Inn, go out the drive to the light, turn left, go to first light which is Emerson Ave, turn right heading North, to second light and turn left into Emerson Pointe shopping plaza, its right in the middle. For those of you not going to the Red Roof Inn you can get off of 65 at County Line Road go west to Emerson (first light I think) and turn left the right into the Emerson Pointe plaza. For those of you that soley depend on GPS the actual address is 997 E County Line Rd, Greenwood IN, burp, excuse me!

Got almost 40 people so far, who's next come on folks step right up! Weather is supposed to be in the mid fourties with a slight chance of a light shower, which means no rain and its gonna be a nice day to see old cars, AV's and meet new friends and see some old ones! I'm not sayin who the old ones are!

So we're eastbound on I-70 today on the East side of Indy and I see this set of ambers coming at me. I start flashing the lights at them and realize it's GBT from up the road from me a little ways. I gave him a quick call with a trooper update. About an hour later we see a forest green cladded heading that way also with ambers in it. I wonder if it was someone else heading there.

Wow what an awesome turnout for dinner at Little Mexico, the food was good, the margarita's were better, kinda Christmasy, I had a green one and somebody bought a pitcher of red ones, so what the heck, lol.

To those that turned out for the Pre GTG I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this truly and evening to remember. Shelsland and Beav, Underwood and Lil Bit, Desirehardwood, Casey and Kimmer, Goldbowtie and Toots, and of course myself and Lu. Had a wonderful time seeing you all, untill we left, uh somebody got stuck, lol.

So glad to see everyone having a good time. I had made plans to attend and was going to show up and surprise everyone. Even had my reservations made for the hotel on Friday night. The only person that knew I was coming was Shel. Unfortunately, I received a phone call at work on Thursday that required that I make an emergency unplanned trip to L.A. I sit here in my hotel, saddened by the fact that I could not come. Keep an eye out for me at a future GTG. I haven't been to one in over a year and a half and the bug is biting REALLY bad. Keep the pics coming for those of us that couldn't be there.
