Replacing bose HU with aftermarket...
« on: February 19, 2011, 12:09:05 AM »
i have a 03 avy with the bose sound system and i'm pretty happy with it. the only thing i don't like it not having usb to play my music. so i'm wondering.. i read that there is an external factory amp somewhere in the truck.... if i get an aftermarket head unit will the amp still function? will my sound quality get better? or would i not even notice a difference?

You can bypass it or get an adp to run through it..The Bose speakers are a differant ohm so if you are going to bypass I would replace them too...
