WOW ...  :evil5:

Thanks guys. Yup, working midnights gives me plenty of trolling time. :cheesy1:

Mine are made by Siege Engineering which is no longer in business. eBay has a ton of them in the $350 range which should do the trick. You'll have to watch the tank dimensions for putting the compressor in the saddlebag. Strobin01 had that issue with the ones he bought. Plan on 6-8 hours if you haven't done it before and that's providing you have everything you need (switches and stuff). I'm 5hours from you and Didit is on the South side of Indy and he's pretty good with mods. I might be able to get over help if the timing is right.

I'd have to research them and see what I would buy if it were me. Gimmee a few days to look at them. Oviedo Safety Lights used to sell them too. I don't know if he still does. He has/had an Avy and from what I hear is great to deal with if you have any problems. If I don't have anything posted by Sunday night, bump this thread.

I'll look in a bit. Been crazy here the last few days and it's hard for me to really dig into it from my phone at night when I'm at work. I usually have time to kill while running diag's on our equipment but I can't check out ebay from work computers.

I'm looking,,at least trying to. buck2

One thing I remembered after starting to look around is you want a complete kit. wiring, relays, the whole nine yards. And don't settle for anything that doesn't have a VIAIR compressor. Top of the line stuff and maintainence free. Mine's been on for over 2 years now exposed to the elements as it's mounted upside down under the back of my Avy. No problems at all.

Also, Chrome plated brass will give you the best sound. The longer the horns, the deeper the sound.

I have omega train horns and Kleinn 1.0 gallon compressor.  Omega changed the shape of the compressor which was 1.5 gallon that use to fit in the saddle bags.  So I had to buy a 1.0 gallon Kleinn for it to fit.  I like blowing mine under overpasses.  I knew mine were loud but never knew how loud until a few days ago.  A buddy of mine works at a GMC dealership as a salesman and he was outside.  I called him to say i'm driving on the road past the stealership.  He was about 500 feet from me and I blew them.  I heard the horns through my phone while he was talking to me.

So you have a  Kleinn 1.0 gallon compressor  and it fits in the saddlebags? Or is it just a Kleinn tank? Does the 1 gallon compressor give ya a long blast ...basically how long could ya blow them?

I get four blasts out of them.  I normally blow them twice to sound like a freight train.  If I hold the button down, the air is gone in about 5 seconds.

Nothing detailed. The horns that I have are too big to be mounted on the outside of the frame rail so I had to put the spare tire in the bed and put them there. The trucks at the shop now so I'll try to remember pix tomorrow.
Nothing I got back from with of the sellers was very encouraging to me as I've never seen either of these setups in person. Overall quality and price seem to be in line but I'm not sure of the mounting set ups.

Here's the sellers

Mypushcart over 41,000 feedback with a 99.8% rating.

aaco85205 another great rating. These horns here are inline instead of grouped together.

I'm still not sure if the tanks will fit in the saddlebags though. The seem to be a little big so that may cause some mounting issues you may not be willing to deal with.

Ok, Here's my set up.
First pix shows where the horns are mounted

Second one shows the tank and compressor along with some of the wiring.

Third is the overall pix.

The last pix is of the outside frame rail right under the gas filler tube. This has been a popular spot in the past for the trumpets. Mine won't fit there.

You know if you point those down and hold the horn button you wouldn't have to put on the spare if you had a flat back there.

Does anybody else have any more input on these? I would like to hear everybody's thoughts. When I played the sound clips on the links above I like the sound of the second one better. I have been doing a lot of research and there is definitely a wide range of price and everything else.

I'd have to look at it. I'll see if I can dig it up tomorrow if I get time. Had to leave my avy at the bar tonight, lost the alternator when We were almost there. The boy got home from KS today with his drivers window down in his door and we have to hit a salvage yard to get a used on also. Busy day tomorrow.

That's a monster all right. So much for sticking to a budget :evil5: That tank will never fit in the saddlebags btw. You'll have to find an alternate mounting area. I have the same size tank and  it's welded to the frame in the spare tire well. My tire now rides in the bed of the avy.
