Topic: Avalanche Midgate

I recently bought a 2002 Avalanche and it did not come with the midgate. I have not been able to find a website where I can buy an original midgate. Can anyone help me in finding a midgate or where to buy one

There's a couple in salvage yards fairly close to me. Have you checked any of them ?

I believe member Alaska AV has 2 of them. Last week or so he posted in another thread he may sell them?

Yep, midgates seem hard to find. Junk yards may be your best bet or purchasing an aftermarket one with 10" woofers built in.

eBay has one. It seems is from a salvage yard.

As OBB said, where in Mo are you? There is a salvage yard, countyline auto, about 20 miles of Kansas City that has 3 Avs in the yard last time I checked.

Did they say why there was no midgate in the Av? Just curious.

I live suth of st. louis in jefferson county. i have checked the salvage yards but they dont have any at this time. i was lookng at the aftermarket sub box for the 10" speakers my only question on that is do they come with the hardware to lock in place or do you need the orignal midgate to use the hardware. i never thought this would be that hard to find.
