Topic: What do you have in your saddel bag compartments?

lets post pics or just chime in and list some of the things you carry around? some of you might be suprised when you snoop through there to find that flash light youve been looking for, or even your 3 month old lunch you packed and forgot about

Nope.  The maglite runs about $20 (clips extra) at your local hardware store .  The fancy fire extinguisher is about $20 or less on eBay.  I think i saw it once for about $11.

I've got the Mag-Lite mod, so that is in there on the driver's side.
I also have a bunch of tie-down straps and bungee chords.
I also have a red shop rag with a spring clip for long loads.

On the passenger side I have my towing tool box along with a hitch and the anti-sway bar for our camper.
I think the tire iron is in there too.

The usual little bit of everything.Driver's side/ Snow brush in the winter. Cleaning supplies in the Summer. Flashlight.
Passenger side/ Ratchet straps, Jumper cables, old serpentine belts for emergency use. Various other things I've forgotten about

i havent gotten to use them as coolers yet but is it true that they are insulated? like will they keep em cold? and another thing? what about the cargo light? can i filler to the top with ice and pack em in there or will it short out the light?

Insulated as in foam?  I dont think so.

Really theres no need to throw 10 bags of ice in there.  Once up to the wheel well thats good enuff.

No insulation and the ice may not last long depending on the outside temps. It'll work for a few hours at least. And yup, there's a drain at the bottom. Take a peek inside sometime once you pull all your stuff out and you'll see it at the back corner. Just make sure it doesn't get plugged up with debris.

OK......I want Instructions and weight (2lb or 5lb) on the Fire Extinguisher....Any special brackets. I have been wanting to do that since I bought the truck.

I just have a bag of assorted tiedowns, and jumper cables on the passengerside.
Driverside is where I want the F.E. that is just holding the reuseable grocery bags and Snow brush. First aid kit is too big for either one. Has to stay in the back seat.
