see i was just gonna hook both of them up to it and see if a fuze blew or if i could smell burning wires or burning plastic :anono1: dont suggest it but its gotten me places in the past lol... the fuze is probably tied into a larger electrical circut right? maybe the dome lights n garage door opener?

Those are in a separate feed in the headliner. That whe harness connects into the junction box under the parking brake pedal. I got busy with some other things and didn't have time to get back to it before work. I still haven't found out yet what the ylw/bk wire is feeding. You might get away with it if you turn off the radar detector whenever your monitor comes on but that would be a PITA.

i think i read about our mirrors being double layered.... and when it is electricaly charged it will dim the the mirror if their is direct light hitting it.... do you think that could be it? or maybe the  OnStar buttons?

If you have the auto dimming mirror that could be one of the functions of it. The other could be the On*. I just got up. I'll look at it some more in a bit.
