Well it seems early but I want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to keep this weekend open and reserve what they need.

Last year was a great time. There were great people, awesome food, incredible mods and more water than we knew what to do with. :laugh:
With all of that it came down to fun, laughter and empty "jello" cup towers.

So who is up for it this year?

***The Owners are holding the Cabins, Yurts and sites until April 30th. Please contact them and get locked in.***

June 10th-12th (All Cabins & Yurts are available)
BBB +3 (Camper) - We will be coming in Thursday Night

Here is the plan, we will all camp together in their club area. The cabins are right behind the club area. I have reserved the Pavilion for the weekend.

We're in a holding pattern on committing due to my ever changing work schedule and the fact that Heather is cleared to enter the Army. Depending on when she leaves and her graduation from BCT will dictate our vacations this year. We're already taking a week in March for Karl's graduation in MO.
Worse case scenario is we make it over just to visit on Saturday. Hope we don't need the flood gear again this year

But it was kinda fun modding under a picnic pavilion.

We're not camping this year but we may try to make a day trip out of it depending on my work schedule. Last year was a blast even if it did rain most of the day Saturday.

Definitely was a great time !! It was my first GTG and will always be remembered !! We did a lot of modding considering the weather ...That being said I don't think we will be able to make it this year

because we are going on vacation the week before...gonna talk to the little woman ,but it don't look promising...

I want to try and make it this year but I have a slight problem. All of their site say no pets and I kinda have a pet I can't a tually leave behind due to taming issues. I recently bought a new juvenile green iguana. Any idea if we could get approval as long as he stays in his cage or on his leash while we are there. Otherwise I definitely can't go because 3 days away would put me back to day one in taming and socializing him.

Give them a call. Are you planning on getting a cabin? If you get one of the yurts they may not mind.

I believe the Kozy Kabin is pet friendly...and it is very Kozy... we stayed in it last year ,it is basically a tool shed with a bed and bunk beds ,a small table and frig.The bathrooms are a short walk away... really wasn't that bad but it is not down with the rest of the cabins...

Jon,
You are more than welcome. The club revolves around, I better watch how I say this, Avalanches. the fun comes naturally. Kozy Rest Kampground is in Harrisville, PA. Just north of Slippery Rock. They are great people and the group that comes is second to none.

Iguana with taming issues. We'll just put it with Moosc, he has taming issues too.

Their is one cabin that they now designate pet friendly. I have a call into them to find out for you. It would be great to meet you...and your pet.

I am sorry but they draw the line at dogs only. And that is only in specified rentals. Now if you can have someone keep it in their camper or tent...then.

I'm gonna try and talk my dad into iguana sitting since he's helped me tame them in the past. It will be nice to get away for a while. But you all gotta promise that if the LI serial killer finds us there you will let me go out and "play"

Max and Bella are the Pugs that belong to BBB and the crew. If we make this one, it will only be for a day trip. My schedule right now stinks but I am very thankful to have a job.

too bad it wasnt a bearded dragon. my friends dogs got into his room while he had it out freeroaming, and the one picked it up in his mouth, yelped, then ran away, in fact turned the other direction everytime he saw it from that point on. i didnt realize that the bearded dragons defense mechanism is to puff itself out to make its rubbery spikes stick out razor sharp.

Right now this GTG looks like it is going to be a bust. Right now OldVMer and I are the only one's camping. Another two (OBB and GBT) are coming to visit.

If this is all that is going to be here, I will be forced to cancel it.

I thought for sure that this would be an annual event but it doesn't look like it.

I will give it until Thursday and make the call.

Um,Uh. We're heading to Ft Wayne that day. Didit put together another GTG on the same weekend and we're going to meet up with some members that we haven't met yet. Sorry man.
