I wonder when this hood bulge off the 2011 GMC Sierra 2500 is going to be available at a reasonable price. I think it might make a good looking addition to an Avalanche hood.

You can always do what BigBlockBirch did and trade the Avy on a new Denali HD.

I've seen before where a Silverado HD hood will fit on a WBH avy. It was on a first generation Avy. It came out great but I hope the guy got it at a great price. I'd hate to pay the same for a "stock" hood vs an aftermarket one.

I like it! I would have gone that route for sure. It should not take long for the aftermarket to pick up on those and offer replacements.

It does look like a viable option to get the heat out. I worry a little bit about it being close to the cowl and introducing heated air to the interior ventilation intake.

You can really see the heat boiling out of the vents in my hood while stopped at the light.



Those Denali vents must be a HUGE help in venting the engine compartment.

Might be able  to find one off of a Duramax cause sounds like a lot of those guys don't like the vent and have been raising questions about removing it.

Take in consideration that that the gmt800 and gmt900 are not the same.  That hd hood may not fit at all on the wbh.

An aftermarket hood is the best bet.

I'm talking about just adding the vent to the stock Avy hood. I looked at GMPartsDirect and it's not even listed yet.
