hmmm,  I know what you're talking about, so yes I can check. I wasn't aware there was a specific direction, so which way should it be? is there a specific direction for the 330 ohm as well?

not for the resistor. The colored band on the diode needs to be away from the  supply power source.

ahh okthat is glaringly obvious now, i thought it was  just to draw the diode lol I'll scope it out and see if that fixes me...probably will thanks!
