Ordered some HID's for the Av and 300C fogs. Haven't seen them at night but they look pretty good in the day.

You'll LOVE them!

You probably saw my post where I did 55W fogs. I drove to work one day last week and man are the fogs bright. I'm going to hit the cul-de-sac at night sometime this week to get everything adjusted properly; I'm sure the fogs are adjusted too high, even though nobody flashed me on the way to work.
2002 LPM Z71, factory 4.10s - Magnacharger w/3" pulley, TOG's headers, 216/224-.551/.551-115 cam/pushrods/dual springs/titanium retainers, built tranny, Yank TT2600 stall converter, 24K GVW Tru-Cool tranny cooler,  Flex-A-Lites, ProCold intake, MSD wires & TR6 plugs, 20" Panther Juice 6's, 2.8" rear lowering springs & assorted hardware, J&J Enterprises stainless grille, body-color painted taillight covers. Self-tuned with HP Tuners software.

Cracked rear bumper cover from a run-in with a deer in fall 2008!

I went out to the driveway and turned them on last night. Holy crap! They are bright. The ones on my car seem brighter than the factory installed HID headlights.

I went with the 35w 5000k in both.

Yes they are. I found out why my cars seem brighter than the lows, ordered 5000k for the fogs and my lows are 4300k. Oh well, maybe I'll replace them later on to a lower wattage.

That's just the lumen output. The wattage is either 35w or 55w. You can have the same bulb number, 5000k, with a 35w and a 55w ballast the the 55 will be brighter.

yea the factory 4300k is the best bulb you can buy...if im not mistaken it should be a Philips D2R Bulb which run for about 140$ a piece and the ballast is like 100$ as well...those are the best of the best no aftermarket bulb can compare to the D2R

Ah, I see said the blind man. I am using the 35w ballast with 5000k lights.

I guess I hope one of those never burns out then.

it will literally takes years for it to burn out. Philips makes Legit HiDs...DDM and other places are considered aftermarket cause Philips bulbs only it in the Philips D2R Projector, the only way to get them into the Avalanche is if you retro fit the housing..in other words you make your own housing using the D2R Projector..my friends brother did it with his subaru and i must admit it looked rather nice and worth the money but not the headache it took him bout 1 week and a half to do it...and that was workin on it every day for 4-5 hrs atleast
