New cross drilled rotors from Stainless Steel Brakes are designed to last longer and reduce micro-fractures from the cross drilling process.



Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation ( SSBC), the leading manufacturer of performance disc brake kits and accessories, today announced the launch of its Big Bite Cross Drilled Rotors™, a new line of rotors that combines a sleek, high-performance look with an advanced design to produce ferocious stopping power.

Available now for a broad selection of classic muscle cars, late model performance vehicles, street rods and customs, trucks/SUVs and sport compacts, Big Bite Cross Drilled Rotors feature a precise combination of cross drilling and slotting to reduce braking temperatures and brake noise while improving performance and durability in all weather conditions.

“Most cross drilled rotors on the market today are full of micro-fractures from the drilling process and tend to crack more over time due to metal fatigue,” said Michael Jonas, president of SSBC. “Our brakes are held to a much higher standard, so we invested hundreds of hours in research and testing to produce a high-performance rotor using a superior metal alloy composition that reduces heat-related stress and maximizes durability. As a result, Big Bite Cross Drilled Rotors can last significantly longer than other cross drilled disc brake rotors.”

Big Bite Cross Drilled Rotors use precision-drilled holes that vent super-heated gases and eliminate brake fade by reducing operating temperatures up to 200°F over original equipment rotors. This cross drilling also helps to dissipate water for better performance and safety in wet driving conditions. The rotors’ precision Turbo slotting cleans the pad surface, maximizing grip and reducing brake squeal. Big Bite Cross Drilled Rotors are bright zinc-electroplated with an Xtra Life finish to prevent rust and maintain a new-out-of-the-box shine over the life of the rotor.
