Black Beauty is dead.
Something doesn't sound right here.....
I'll look into the Black Bear and the such. But I'm just pissed that the auto shop should have know, or told me what was going on. Hell, I know enough to be dangerous with a calculator and as such I have been very careful on what I do with the Predator. I still don't know why they can't recover the original factory tune on the PCM. This is a professional garage and as such I expect better service. If I wanted this type of stuff I'm sure I can find Billy Bob's shade-tree garage and bait shop somewhere around here.Today should prove interesting to say the least.
Edit: Ski - you may want to take this as a warning. If you take your vehicle in for service, they may put an updated GM tune in it for you without asking first and you would loose your custom tune. I don't know how Black Bear handles that situation.
In hindsight, I probably should have kept my original PCM with the stock tune, but have to finance the cam swap!! Once I get the cable tune, it will be on my computer through EFILive. I would just need to procure the cable to download it if that happens.
Hey guys, The shop won't cover any expenses other than the tow bill to the shop. Lesson learned on this one, Performance Automotive on 13 highway South. They are located next to Lindsey Transmission on the North Side. The shop owner keeps saying, nope...had no way to know what was on/in the pcm. I told him that I didn't ask for any updates and that I was told after the fact of it being done... He kept to his statement, we didn't know.
