Personally I did not get up that far, even though I did ask if maybe the bracket was on backwards.
If you think about it though, with the boot being close to the pan flange, should not ever be a problem since the bracket is bolted to the tranny making it one, if the tranny rocks under extreme pressure the cables are going to go the same way with it.

Man, I should have been there.   :sotired:

That looks like a fun GTG.
2011 Silverado, Ext Cab Z-71 5.3, 6L80, Airaid CAI, Magnaflow cat-back, and a little tuning by me and HPT.

Gone but not forgotten, 2002 Victory red. The quickest lifted 4x4 AV in the US in it's day.

We're home. Unpacked and I have gotten a shower already. I still can't get that little bit of Rust Bullet off of me. Main One, I don't envy you trying to get that much off of you. Pix of that later :evil5:

We did get a fair amount of time consuming work done. I missed out on the cam swap as We got there just about 2pm Thursday and they had it done already.

I really need to toss out a big Thank You to Ski Edition and family for letting us bunk with them in their camper. That was a a big factor in whether we could have made the trip or not. :yourock:

Main One and Minor One also have some big Thanks coming as well. You two were great host and hostess for this shindig and I'm still at a loss of words on how to thank Minor One for all the planning and executing of the meals. That's something that totally took us by surprise. It really was a great time and We are so glad that We could make it over for this.

Didit and Lu also need some big hugs their way for Didit's help and entertainment. Lu's dessert was great also. Can't wait for that recipe to get here. :wavey:

Always hate to part ways from such good friends that we don't get to see that often but it's part of living so far apart and yet the common bond of the Avy that brings us all together.

I've got pix to upload after I resize them so I hope I can get that done here within the next few hours.

OhioBellboy,

I'm so sorry that I'm just now reading the wonderful words of praise you sent.  If Greg hasn't told you, with the garage being so clean (or at least it was) I decided to start cleaning out the attic.  We have stuff up there we haven't looked at in 10 years so we made a plan to bring down 7 boxes at a time, look through them and keep going until the entire attic was done.  The FIRST box I picked up had carpenter ants under it.  I SCREAMED!!!  So I've been dealing with the little buggers ever since.  Back to the fun stuff, you guys were the perfect guests.  It was an absolute pleasure having you all in.  I truly loved meeting both you and your wife and you two are just wonderful.  I look very, very forward to the next time we have the chance to get together.  And I promise to get you some soup.  I can't say when but you are on my to-do list.

Minor One

18x10 Forged Weld Wheels, BFG g-Force KDWs, JBA shorties, custom catback with FM70, Crane plug wires, Trailblazer Torque Converter, bigger cam, efans, HP Tuners custom tune, WAAG stuff, mildly boosted with Vortech Supercharger.......

We're home and have the camper unloaded and washed on the outside.  Taking a break before I clean the inside.

What a GREAT GTG!!!

Words can't properly do justice to the hospitality that Main One, Minor One and family showed me the last 5 days.  I went up there under the pretense of seeing some old friends and doing some mods, but came back with a HUGE appreciation for the generosity that was shown.  When the person coined the phrase "The Hostess with the Mostest", they had Minor One in mind.  What a wonderful family and give that baby a big kiss from Uncle Brian.

I learned so much from Main One and truly appreciate the help and guidance that he provided me on my mods this past week.  What a display of patience and knowledge on your part.  Thanks again!!  It may not have a "Hot Rod", but it does exactly what I want it to do (for now   )!

OBB and Debi -- What a great time we had!  My girls were very upset they didn't get to tell you good bye!!  We had a wonderful time having you stay with us in the camper.  You are more than welcome any time!!  What great friends you're become!!   :yourock:

Those were some big-ass marshmallows!!!!    :cheesy1:

Didit, Lu and Molly --  You folks are the best!!  This is the 2nd time we've been camping neighbors and can't wait to do it again in a couple of weeks.  Can't wait on my recipe!!  Thanks for all your help on the light and every thing else!!  Happy Birthday Friend and see you soon!!

To the mods!!  The cam gives me exactly what I was looking for!  Married up with the new Torque Converter, I'm strong off the line and it holds the power now where it dropped off before.   The best thing is that it had no detrimental affect on my towing ability.  Actually, I feel I'm much stronger towing.  The bed light is a great mod!  I think OBB is going to do a write up on is when he gets a chance.  It was exactly what my AV needed!!

Thanks again to everyone!!!!!  I'll remember this one for a long time!!   I'm exhausted!!!!!!

Brian,

Again sorry to be so late in replying.  As I told OhioBellboy the day after you all left we found carpenter ants.  We unloaded approximately 150 boxes out of our attic so we could treat for the little buggers.  Wholy cow it was exhausting.  We still don't have everything put back yet, it's amazing the amount of stuff we have recycled.

I was very nervous expecting all of you hoping things would go smoothly and I was completely blown away.  I loved that you all came in and made yourself at home.  No bigger compliment could be made.  I still blame Main One for his lack of communication skills.  I'll work on that.

I am DEFINATELY coming to Nashville one of these days.  But will you let us in if we don't have Cali?  She really misses all of the love shown to her.  I think I heard her say "Where's my Uncle Brian?" the other day.

Hate to hear about your ant infestation.  They have been bad down here also this year.  Once again, we enjoyed your hospitality and hopefully I didn't eat too much!!  The 4 pound meatloaf was just a slice of heaven (and the sandwiches the nexr 2 days).   :winkani:

All you folks are more than welcome to come to Nashville and stay at our house.  I guess you can come, even though Cali doesn't make the trip.  She sure is a punkin!!

Come see us soon!!

Brian
